GENESIS 2:1-3
God established the Sabbath long before man sinned, thousands of years before the Jewish nation.
Thing to Note down.
>It was given to man as special gift and was given to a demarcation in all generation to be a sign (Jeremiah 20:12, 20).
>It is a weekly Sabbath which is part and parcel of the moral law and not ceremonial law.{Gen. 2:1,2; Exo. 20:8-11}
>Was given by God and not by man.(Luke 2:27-28)
>Was given before man sinned(Gen. 2 compare with Gen. 3)
>Jesus Proved the Sabbath(Luke 4:16)
>Jesus In Matthew 5:18-19 says, "Think not that I am come to destroy the Law and the prophets:i am not come to destroy but To fulfill.
...till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one title shall in no wise pass from the law,...
This implies to all the ten commandments .Therefore the Sabbath is still existing(Hebrews 4:9, 12)
