In the mean time, 

 Christ says we are to have eternal life now, but we don’t have access to the tree of life anymore, so in the meantime, how do we access the life in the tree of life because we must have that life. We can have life only as we have communion with him. Separated from God, existence may be ours for a little time but we do not possess life. Christ says that as He lived by His Father, is the way we must live by Him. What does this mean? God is a spirit and a spirit does not have flesh and blood. God is not a cannibal. Christ clarifies, “The words I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life.” Christ tells us plainly, that His words are spirit and life -- eternal life. The Scriptures are the great agency in the transformation of character. As we wait for physical access, this is how we access the life of the tree of life. God created the earth in perfect manner with perfect human beings(Adam and Eve)-see Genesis 1 and 2 everything in perfect harmony. Unfortunately the deceiver stepped in on the scene and ruined everything those who once were royal to God failed to Obey his voice but they preferably to obey the voice of a stranger but in the mean time as they were waiting for God's initiative and judgment he made them the skin to be their clothes rather than their man made leaves clothing, so in the mean time God clothed them righteousness and as they were waiting the Lord commanded them what to and what not to
